Context
Gruppo Frassati operates in the environmental services and operational field services sector, with a distributed blue-collar workforce working across shifts and on-site activities.
Training and updates were previously managed through supervisors passing information internally or by organizing external courses. This approach required employees to step away from their shifts, created organizational complexity, and generated additional costs. Monitoring learning outcomes was limited and not always structured.
The company needed a way to train and inform employees without interrupting operational shifts, while maintaining quality and measurable results.
Why zick learn
Gruppo Frassati chose zick learn for the ability to:
Deliver micro-learning lessons to multiple employees simultaneously
Monitor results and learning metrics in a structured way
Reduce the operational time required for training
Allow employees to complete training directly during their work routine, without traveling or attending long video sessions
The delivery channel used is WhatsApp, already widely adopted by employees and easily accessible during shifts. This enabled training to happen within the natural flow of daily operations.
Implementation
The company transformed into micro-lessons:
Internal Word and PDF documents
Video materials
Safety-related content, including:
Use of PPE
SA8000 audits
Noise risk
Cleaning protocols
The objective was to make essential safety and compliance content accessible in short, structured formats that could be completed without removing employees from their operational roles.
After approximately one year of usage, the project has reached a stable structure. The initial phase required internal organization, both at office level and in preparing and informing employees. Today, the process is streamlined and significantly faster.
Results
In the first six months of use:
497 man-hours of productivity gained
100% active learners
94% progress rate
zick score: 87
“Time has been the main advantage. We can inform and train employees without taking them off their shift.” / Valeria Fiori - Safety, Environment and Quality at Gruppo Frassati
The primary benefit has been time efficiency, allowing employees to remain on shift while receiving structured training and safety updates.
The company also reduced costs related to external training courses, as content can now be created internally and adapted to operational needs.
Feedback
The internal team highlights:
Clear and transparent metrics
The ability to present structured results to clients
A more manageable and efficient content creation process compared to the initial phase
End users appreciate the ability to complete training in their own language and in a format compatible with their work shifts.
